In this article, we will explain the No Event Found Issue in Modern Events Calendar and provide a permanent solution to fix it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you receive the message “No Event Found!” please check it before submitting a ticket. If your issue is not resolved, you can submit a ticket for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Checking the requirements for No Event Found Issue in Modern Events Calendar<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, please make sure that you are using the latest version of MEC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Please read the following article: Setup Date Option On Shortcodes<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Please check the following (even again):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Now, follow the checklist below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Update permalinks from dashboard > Settings > permalinks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Update events and shortcodes again<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Remove filter options from shortcodes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Check the events not to be expired<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Featured images for events in the Carousel shortcode<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Deactivate all your plugins and let the MEC<\/a> remain active only, set your theme on default, and then reload the page. If the issue is solved, then activate your plugins one by one and your theme, refresh your page, and check to see which plugin is causing\u00a0the issue. Please let us know the results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Please check the MEC Dashboard if you have Upcoming events.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If the issue persists, please follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      <\/span>Fix \u201cNo Event Found\u201d With SQL<\/a> Query:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      We strongly advise you to get a backup of your database first.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If none of the above methods helped, we need to write a query that can work with the database of your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Firstly, please find the \u201c#__mec_***<\/strong> \u201d and delete them (Drop).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the next step, open install.sql in the directory below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      wp-content\\plugins\\modern-events-calendar\\assets\\sql\\install.sql<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
      Note 1: Usually, \u201cwp_\u201d is the default prefix of all tables. You should change the prefix instead to this \u201c#__\u201d
      Note2: You can find the WordPress prefix on the wp-config file<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      <\/span>Add a new query for WordPress database<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      Now, you should add a new query for your WordPress database, so please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      Some characters should be replaced as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n
      \nFind [:CHARSET:] => Replace with utf8mb4 or utf8\nFind [:COLLATE:] => Replace with utf8mb4_unicode_ci or utf8_general_ci\nFind #__         => Replace with Table prefix (Normally wp_)\n<\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n
      Find and replace the correct charset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      For example, find all #__ in the install.sql and replace it with your WordPress prefix. Also, find  [:CHARSET:] & [:COLLATE:], then replace them with the correct string.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      Note:<\/strong><\/span> Do not save the install.sql file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      Now copy all of the code in the install.sql file [modified with the replace codes] and paste it into the SQL Query in your database, and then click on the GO button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      After that, you install MEC tables, and you need to save all of the events and shortcodes on your website, open all events, shortcodes, and taxonomies… and click on the update button to save all of them in the database.
