If you are experiencing an activation issue with the Modern Events Calendar, there could be several reasons for this. This article helps you troubleshoot the problem quickly. You will also find a reference table of every activation message and what it means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Step 1 \u2014 Install the Latest Version<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, make sure you are using the latest version of MEC and of every installed addon by checking the changelog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> If your website does not have the latest version of MEC, please update it manually<\/a> before continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Step 2 \u2014 Check Your Purchase Code<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make sure the characters of the purchase code exactly match the license key in your account. To avoid typos: log in at my.webnus.net<\/strong>, find the product’s panel in your dashboard, and use the copy<\/strong> icon in its License<\/strong> section \u2014 then paste the key into the activation field in MEC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Step 3 \u2014 License Already Active on Another Site<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The most common cause: your license is already activated on another domain, a previous hosting, an old clone, or a WordPress multisite \u2014 and it has no free activations left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you still have access to the old site (recommended):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to the old site’s WordPress admin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to MEC > Dashboard<\/strong> \u2014 the License Activation box shows your active license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click Revoke License<\/strong>. This frees the activation immediately \u2014 no waiting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Back on your new website, enter the purchase code in MEC and activate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If the old site is gone or you cannot log in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Log in to your account at my.webnus.net<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. In your dashboard, find the product’s panel and click its Manage Sites<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. On the Manage License<\/strong> page, click Deactivate Site<\/strong> next to the old website address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Return to the MEC activation page on your new website and activate again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
