You can translate events, pages, custom post types, taxonomies, and other MEC content from the WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Translate with WPML Plugin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MEC works with WPML to support multilingual event websites. Follow the steps below to configure WPML and translate your events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Getting_Started\"><\/span>Getting Started<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure the following WPML components are installed and active alongside MEC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/purchase\/?add-to-cart=2436660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WPML Multilingual CMS<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/purchase\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WPML Media Translation<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/documentation\/getting-started-guide\/string-translation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WPML String Translation<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend using WPML\u2019s <strong>Advanced Translation Editor<\/strong>. To review the editor options, go to <strong>WPML \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"WPML_Translation_Tools\"><\/span>WPML Translation Tools<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WPML\u2019s <strong>Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)<\/strong> includes automatic translation, translation memory, a glossary, spell checking, and a clean translation interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides translating content yourself, you can also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Send your content to a professional translation service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a team of local translators. This is done in <strong>WPML \u2192 Settings \u2192 Translators<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Translate_Taxonomies_in_MEC\"><\/span>Translate Taxonomies in MEC<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, make sure <strong>WPML String Translation<\/strong> is installed and active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WPML normally translates taxonomies while you translate an event. If you need to translate a taxonomy manually, open the <strong>Taxonomy<\/strong> tab in <strong>WPML \u2192 Translations<\/strong>. To translate whole taxonomies at once, such as all MEC categories or locations, use the <strong>Taxonomies<\/strong> section of the Translations Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Repeat these steps for any remaining taxonomies or terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Translating_Your_Events\"><\/span>Translating Your Events<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WPML\u2019s <strong>Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)<\/strong> helps you translate content faster with automatic translation, translation memory, a glossary, spell checking, and an interface that keeps HTML out of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To use it with MEC, install and activate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>WPML Multilingual CMS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WPML String Translation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both are included in the Multilingual CMS and Multilingual Agency plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Advanced Translation Editor is selected by default in the WPML setup wizard. If you need to review this setting, go to <strong>WPML \u2192 Settings<\/strong> and find the Translation Editor options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To translate an MEC event, go to <strong>WPML \u2192 Translations<\/strong> to open the Translations Dashboard. The process has two steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Select_Events_for_Translation\"><\/span>Select Events for Translation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dashboard groups translatable content by type. Automatic translation uses AI translation words.
