With WPML, you can translate all pages, posts, custom types and taxonomy, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Translate_with_WPML_Plugin\"><\/span>How to Translate with WPML Plugin?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We work directly with the WPML team to guarantee 100% compatibility between MEC and the WPML, so to start translating, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Getting_Started\"><\/span>Step 1: Getting Started<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you should make sure that some items are activated along with your MEC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/purchase\/?add-to-cart=2436660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WPML Multilingual CMS<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/purchase\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WPML Media Translation plugins<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/documentation\/getting-started-guide\/string-translation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WPML String Translation<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our suggestion is <strong>WPML Advanced Translation Editor<\/strong>. To activate it, just navigate to <strong>WPML &gt; Settings<\/strong> under the How to Translate Posts and Pages section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_WPML_Translation_Tools\"><\/span>Step 2: <b>WPML Translation Tools<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>WPML provides a powerful <strong>Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)<\/strong> by default, which includes automatic translation, spell checking, and glossary management, making translations faster and more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to translating your site&#8217;s content on your own, the followings are also possible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can send your content for translation to a <strong>professional translation service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can create your own <strong>local translators&#8217; team<\/strong>. This is done through the <strong>Translators <\/strong>tab in <strong>Translation Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Translate_Taxonomies_in_MEC\"><\/span>Step 3: Translate Taxonomies in MEC<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, make sure <strong>WPML String Translation<\/strong> is installed and activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the latest WPML updates, most strings\u2014including taxonomies\u2014should be automatically translated while translating your event(s). However, if you need to manually translate a specific taxonomy, you can use the &#8220;Taxonomy Translation&#8221; feature. To do so, navigate to <strong>WPML \u2192 Taxonomy Translation<\/strong> in your WPML menu. Click the &#8220;Pen&#8221; button for each language in which you want to localize the taxonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Simply enter your translation for the specific taxonomy term and click <strong>&#8220;Save.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. The process remains the same for all other taxonomies and terms, allowing you to fully translate them using the WPML <strong>Taxonomy Translation<\/strong> tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Translating_Your_Events\"><\/span>Step 4: Translating Your Events<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WPML Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)<\/strong> main function is to allow your translators do their work faster and easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This editor has some main features like machine translation, translation memory, glossary, spell checker, HTML-less editing, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WPML Advanced Translation Editor is basically a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is completely integrated with browsers, so you or your local translators can easily translate posts, pages, and strings. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to use the Advanced Translation Editor, make sure you have the following WPML plugins, they should be installed and activated on your site:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WP<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ML Multilingual CMS<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WPML Translation Management<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WPML String Translation<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>The Advanced Translation Editor is selected by default in the <strong>Translation Management<\/strong> setup wizard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if the feature is not enabled, you can activate it by navigating to <strong>WPML \u2192 Settings<\/strong> and enabling it under the <strong>Translation Editor<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To translate MEC using WPML in the Gutenberg Block Editor plugin, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the <strong>Translation Management<\/strong> menu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we have 2 steps to begin translating our events, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Select_items_for_translation\"><\/span><strong>Step 1: Select items for translation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In this section, you&#8217;ll find multiple areas for translation, such as &#8220;My Templates,&#8221; &#8220;Blocks,&#8221; &#8220;Events,&#8221; and &#8220;Other texts.&#8221; However, since our focus is on translating events, we&#8217;ll concentrate on the &#8220;Events&#8221; section. To do so, click the checkbox next to each event title. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Translate_your_content\"><\/span>Step 2: Translate your content<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Now it&#8217;s time to choose how to translate our events. In this step, we have multiple options, such as <strong>Translate automatically<\/strong> (which requires WPML credits, available through their official website), translating it ourselves, or even <strong>assigning a translator<\/strong> so each event can be translated by a different person to speed up the process. For our case, we\u2019ll take the direct approach and translate the events ourselves. For example, if English is set as the original and French and German are added for localization, you will see one entry for French and one for German. You will also be able to view the status of each translation. The renowned <strong>Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)<\/strong> opens, offering a clear and user-friendly interface. Simply input your translation for the target language, which is indicated by a small flag representing that language. As you translate each term, click the <strong>Save<\/strong> button located in the sticky bar to the right of each translation row. You can go back to your event and switch the language from your main language to the translation, which in my case is French. You\u2019ll see that <strong>WPML <\/strong>has worked its magic, smoothly and seamlessly translating the event into the desired language (French in our case).
